The only way to be fit in our world today
Awareness is like the sun. When it shines on things they are transformed. -Thich Nhat Hanh
How often have you been on a roller coaster? Where is the thrill? At what point are you a wee bit terrified? How do you feel when the ride is over?
Every day, you are given an opportunity to sway back and forth between what is sacred and what is human. The only reason I am separating them in this article is for you to see there really is no separation. Sometimes we need to understand the distance we place on aspects of our lives in order for us to feel the deep collective autonomy of us all.
Every relationship, situation, movie, book, feeling and thought is meant for a higher purpose. That purpose is not a job or a reason for living. It is living in and of itself. Your life is a magnet drawing you in toward experiences and people that will help you see in a new way or it is drawing you away from what does not serve you.
We tend to get this wrong more often than we get this right. We take our life so seriously and get all up in the bunches of emotions and irritations it offers us. And, at the same time, we run away from the very emotions and irritations that can help us grow and evolve our consciousness.
If you are like me in any way, those rollercoaster rides can leave me dizzy, wildly laughing, and a bit out of sorts. Much like our life!
One aspect of a conscious lifestyle is to be FIT.
Let’s face it, our world view projected onto us is a fit body, mind and spirit. Yet much of this fitness has nothing to do with our wellbeing. It is more of a projection of perfection that someone along the way decided to make a mission.
I am speaking to a more sacred FIT-ness. This involves 3 visions of awareness: forward, intention, and truth.
To be FIT requires awareness...pure open awareness for what is. Think of this as riding the rollercoaster and just watching the ups and downs and twists and turns.
In awareness, you are able to discern are you moving FORWARD in life? Think about the experiences you have had recently and the people you have been with, as well as your actions and behaviors. Are they helping you live the life you crave and want to create? Do they inhibit growth and keep you stuck in the past or in the future? Are you avoiding situations and people as you believe they will harm you? Do you welcome the people and situations that come into your life as a means for discerning if you are moving forward or not?
REMEMBER...neither is right or wrong. Just notice what you do and how you feel about what you do.
This awareness leads to another vision which is your INTENTION. Why do you do what you do? Do you know? Again, is it to avoid or gain?
REMINDER...your body will give you wisdom. It will muster up a sensation that will either feel good or it will create pain or discomfort. This sensation lets you know if you have a pure intention or are you after something?
When your intention is pure – meaning you want the best for both people and the entire situation – you now have a vision for TRUTH. When we are aligned to our truth in every action, behavior, communication, relationship...the path provides a way. You are always awake in your truth. Truth is very simple because it serves both and it serves the whole. There is no separation in truth.
So, my question for you today is....WHAT DO YOU WANT?
What we want really does lead us to who we are. We discover aspects about ourselves that show us that we have a sacredness within the every day. Every moment, you get to decide for yourself.
How FIT is your choice-making?
The world around us can get loud and noisy, much like a roller coaster ride. YOU are brave and courageous and have the freedom to make choices that align to who you are.
To be FIT in our worldview today, we have to want the best for everyone and we must make it a daily intention with every word, look, and projection.
